Thorpe Engineering Consultants was created to provide a flexible and responsive service for built environment development projects.
As a small company we can offer the same high standard of delivery that you would expect from an established consultancy but with a greater emphasis on the needs of the customer.
You know that when you speak to us that you will be speaking to the engineer responsible for delivering your project.
People do business with people; effective relationships are therefore at the core of successful project teams.
We have formed close relationships with our contractor clients and other consultants, this enables us to meet the rapidly changing demands of any construction project.
We are known for our ability to integrate the permanent works with the development of the temporary works necessary to produce the most economical design.
Digital engineering is embedded within our core Civil and Structural Engineering processes.
BIM is not an optional extra but is the golden thread that runs through everything we do.
We utilise digital tools to deliver lean processes.
This means better value for our customers.
We work with a select group of design consultants so that we can provide an integrated team approach and add value for our clients.
Our aim is to be the engineering consultant of choice for built environment development projects across central southern England. We will achieve this by providing excellent customer service. We will provide what the customer needs, when they want it and at a price that reflects the value to the customer. We will deliver exceptional performance by working collaboratively and utilising digital tools to enable lean processes.
Our offices are located in Bournemouth, Dorset. We can take on commissions throughout Southern England.

To me engineering is all about problem solving; it is fundamentally a creative discipline and often the best solutions come from working as part of a team. There is always more than one solution to a problem and the right solution is the one that adds most value to the project.
Engineering is the application of maths and science to shape the built environment. Too often engineers focus on the maths and overlook the context within which the structural elements are being deployed. The maths is generally the easy part; it is in the application that engineers can use creative solutions to add value.
